Toprevent and control the epidemic provincial and municipalgovernments are strictly implementing epidemic prevention policiesand the quarantine period for foreigners entering China from abroadhas become increasingly long.这种背景下 ， 很多外籍人士首先会考虑到问题就是：如何提前安排签证的延期 ， 避免隔离结束后即签证到期 。 首先 ， 隔离结束后 ， 马上前往当地的出入境办理延期或换发居留许可 ， 否则可能会被限期出境：如果逾期时间太长 ， 还会涉及到要缴纳罚款 。 如果隔离结束后的时间刚好又碰上国内公休假期 ， 那么办理的时间又得往后顺延 。
Againstthis backdrop the first question on many expatriates' minds is howto arrange visa extensions in advance to avoid the expiry of theirvisas once the quarantine is over. First of all immediately afterthe end of quarantine you should go to your local immigration officefor an extension or renewal of your residence permit otherwise youmay be subject to an exit deadline: if you overstay too long youwill also be involved in paying a fine. If the end of quarantinecoincides with a public holiday in the country then the process willhave to be postponed again.
情况一：持Q1签证入境
Situation1: Entry on a Q1 visa
因家庭团聚需在华长期居留的外国人持Q1签证入境中国后 ， 应于30日内向出入境管理部门申办团聚类居留许可 ， 在居留许可有效期内可在华合法居留并多次出入境 ， 无需再办理签证 。 所以 ， 持Q1签证入境 ， 一定要注意停留时间 ， 30天内及时申办居留许可 。Foreignerswho need to stay in China for a long period of time for familyreunion should apply for a residence permit for reunion within 30days after entering China on a Q1 visa and can stay legally in Chinaand enter and exit the country several times during the validity ofthe residence permit without the need to apply for another visa.Therefore when entering China on a Q1 visa you must pay attentionto the length of stay and apply for a residence permit within 30days.
情况二：持Q2签证入境

Q2签证入境后停留时间一般为180天及以内 ， 超过规定时间如要继续停留 ， 需要更换成居留许可或延期当前签证 。

情况三：持有M字签证入境

外籍人士在疫情期间申请PU邀请函以M字签证入境 ， 通常可以在中国境内停留60-180天 ， 持有60天停留时间M字签证的外籍人士更是需要及时对签证进行延期 ， 另外但如果需要留在国内生活或工作 。 还需要把M字签证转为团聚类居留许可或者工作类居留许可 。

情况四：持有Z字签证入境

如果入境后持Z字签证入境 ， 应于30日内向出入境管理部门申办工作类居留许可 。 但是疫情期间 ， 时间往往来不及 ， 就需要对Z字签证进行延期或者加办一个停留签证（具体以出入境要求为准） 。
Ifyou enter the country on a Z visa you should apply for a work permitfrom the immigration authorities within 30 days. However during anepidemic there is often not enough time to apply for a Z visa or anadditional stay visa (subject to immigration requirements).

签证到期非法滞留被相关部门发现会处以罚款并被强制遣返回国 。 所以 ， 大家在一定要关注签证的有效期限 ， 在签证失效之前 ， 及时到相关部门办理续签手续 ， 不符合续签规定的 ， 一定要在签证到期前离境 。 良好的出入境记录对外籍人士非常重要！
